I should have checked Sheila Paine's book when I wrote my post yesterday, the wooden amulets in her book are from Kenya... I'm sure I saw some from the Middle East that are similar ... can't remember where...

Love the ancient feel of these pieces, gonna have to check out that book...I've been getting up so early these days, I can't seem to stay awake much past 8:00 PM...I'm on count down as we speak...hope all is well with you friend...got some skull beads the other day, getting ready for the Day of the Dead...we're doing a new section at the shop, lots of skulls, hippie stuff and incense, my Boho spirit is having a blast buying inventory...just like Christmas...ha!
