First some Dayak ear weights... might turn them into pendants but there is no way I'd wear these as earrings... The Dayak people consider long earlobes as a sign of beauty..
And a child's necklace from Papua New Guinea...it is supposed to protect against bad spirits... it's vintage (and smells like it!) from the 70's
the ear weights are outstanding! I would have lobes to my knees since normal earings that are on the heavy side have pulled mine down already! lucky find!

Quant au collier papou,il me rappelle cet immense voyage, que j'avais fait sans me déplacer, dans une salle d'archives il y a 3 ans. Je n'ai jamais commencé le brodé que j'avais prévu de faire à ce sujet, mais ça viendra un jour... Bises
WOW...what great art...makes my earlobes ache just lookin at them, but what great pendants they would make to any necklace you concoct...we have faith that it'll be something fabulous...AND tribal!
