A dark one...
From Roman times to 2010... Roman bronze and glass, Celtic ring, bronze from the Tudor era ( the "key" shape is a fragment of a spur), amber, bone beads, wood, turquoise, an old german coin from 1869, agate, obsidian, horn...

And a light one...

Old Friends

First one, the voodoo necklace.... It changed again ... It had to lose a bit of weight... It's still on the heavy side though...



Sunday I had the visit of a friend. I promised her some treats that did not contain egg yolks ( she's allergic to egg yolks). So I made amaretti. I never made any before and they were a success...

Lead shrine and sushi

And after washing my hands several times, I made my first sushi. They were not bad but there's still room for improvement!

The Feathered People

The Feathered People and me seem to cross path quite often... I saved this thrush from my cat's claws. It's safe now -well kind of the cat is still around -and back in the wild...

Road Block Unblocked.... kind of

What to do when you are facing a wall... Make something that is more technical than creative... So I reached for my copy of Joanna Gollberg"s Making Metal Jewelry and chose a project. Of course I couldn't help making my own design, the cuff in the book had some geometric shapes cut out... I went for snakes

Then I had all these little snakes left and I decided to make some earrings.

And also, jewelry books are like cook books ... don't trust the measurements .. believe me, I followed the instructions and knew I was cutting too many links ... so I made this pendant, and obviously I haven't been making rivets for a long time, these are not even ... The design of the necklace was kind of inspired by Sherry and she gave me the beads a long time ago.

We had some rain at last... it's been so hot here and by what I read it will be hot again... I know I should not but I long for sweaters and jeans and boots ... Hope you're enjoying the summer!

These never made it on my blog before... resin, bones, horse air and some other things...

Yesterday, I went to some kind of "bal masque" with my best friend we had fun even though the music was not that good... I dressed as a "girl" for once ... I even let my friend "paint" me! ;)
